Diving and First Aid
In addition to teaching English I am also a PADI SCUBA Diving instructor and Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor. This section is a little bit about these topics.

Now that COVID is over and we can start travelling again (subject to the two daughters I didn't have before COVID), this summer (2024), I was back in the Philippines to spend two weeks in Boracay diving with Free Willies Dive Center, which was beautiful, I then went back up to Subic Bay to see the lads with whom I did my PADI open water instructor course and got deep with the Tec 50 certification.
I have many more tanks, with 50% and 100% oxygen for decompression stops, and as a bonus, I completed the Self-Reliant Diver course.

Does your school need First Aider-certified teachers? This is a legal requirement in most places, and as an EFR instructor, I train and certify teachers.
All school trips should have at least one qualified first aider. As an EFR trainer, I can train and certify your staff to gain the internationally recognised Emergency First Responder certification, covering Primary Care (CPR) and secondary care (First Aid).

Congratulations to Mr. Wicus of St Peter's School, Hainan, on completing his EFR certification

Diving is my holiday hobby. I am a PADI dive instructor and Technical Diver, which means I use more tanks and dive deeper than allowed in sport diving, and for longer.
